The Imposture Lab is an artistic project about the usually uncomfortable feeling of being an impostor for contemporary people. It is a participatory performance pretending to be a laboratory.
Being an "Impostor" refers to the territory of ignorance associated with potentiality. We separate it from the negative connotations of failure and insecurity associated with ‘impostor syndrome’.
The lab lasts three hours. There are no observers, all who come become co-authors of what is happening. During the lab participants go through a series of bodily, communicative and performative practices.
We ask that you do not prepare for anything, and warn you to be ready for anything. Each lab is different from the others – everything that happens inside, all the experiences and meanings, the participants create on their own. We only accompany the process.
