Nora Mansmann, born in 1980, works as a director at the municipal theater and in the independent scene, writes theater texts, libretti, children's plays and occasionally journalistic texts. She has also worked as a trainer and teacher since 2015.
Nora Mansmann's theater texts have premiered at the Maxim Gorki Theater Berlin, the Theater junge Generation Dresden and the Düsseldorfer Schauspielhaus, among others. She has worked as a director at Theater Kiel (I hired a Contract Killer, Tannöd), Theater Aachen (Jugend ohne Gott, Michael Kohlhaas, Clyde & Bonnie) and Stadttheater Bremerhaven (Amerika), among others. In addition, numerous independent projects, open formats, play developments, such as the Supernova music theater course with Make Make Produktion, the play development Goldherz with Mareike Mikat at the Staatstheater Braunschweig or numerous projects with Drama Köln. One focus of Nora Mansmann's theater work is on productions, performances and explorations outside the theater space. International projects have taken her to Israel, Australia, New York, Ukraine, Italy, Switzerland and Austria.
Nora Mansmann has also been working as a trainer for parkour, children's sports, health & fitness and cultural education since 2015. From 2017-2020, she completed an extra-occupational educator training course with a sports and movement education profile and worked in a daycare center with a focus on language and movement in Berlin-Neukölln.
2001-2009 Studied history, musicology and German language and literature in Berlin and Göttingen. Internships and assistantships at the theater with Jürgen Gosch, Armin Petras, Ingo Berk, Mareike Mikat & German Theatre Abroad Berlin/New York.
